Peaceful demonstrations are part of the March and March Movement’s strategy to advocate for stricter immigration laws.

Following its special National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Friday, July 3, the March and March Movement has officially adopted a comprehensive three-month action plan to address the complexities of irregular migration in South Africa.
This strategic roadmap, which emerged from the movement’s reflection on the events leading up to June 30, outlines a rigorous approach to national advocacy.
In a statement, March and March said that the NEC received and reflected on the report from the organising and mobilisation committee, detailing the July 2026 action plan and adopted it with minor amendments.
“Further, the movement reaffirms its position to engage with all political parties that are not hostile to the agenda against irregular migration,” March and March said.
It said it has adopted the plan of action for the next three months, which includes, inter alia:
1. A massive rollout of peaceful demonstrations, picketing, and blitz countrywide in all key and strategic centres of the economy.
2. The movement is engaging various stakeholders and political parties to participate in the National Dialogue (to be convened in Gauteng) on the cause of irregular migration, its impact, and possible solutions.
3. The movement will continue its plan to meet all political parties, with July earmarked for the ATM, UDM and the NFP.
“The intention is to encourage all political parties to sing from the same hymn book on the question of irregular immigration and the implementation of immigration laws,” March and March said.
4. The movement will engage all municipalities and the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) to pass municipal by-laws declaring that the township economy is only reserved for South African citizens.
5. The movement will engage with SAPS and the Department of Home Affairs to roll out operations in all central business districts, private dwellings, and the properties hijacked by foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians. This will enhance its massive deportation strategy.
6. “We will launch our campaign for the public to call and send WhatsApp messages to our offices for the members of the public to send information in respect of all companies that have employed foreign nationals against the laws of the Republic. Our research and investigation team will collate data and report the same to the authorities; such information will enable the State to undertake intelligence-driven operations,” March and March said.
7. The movement will also meet with communities countrywide to educate South Africans about the effects of aiding and abetting illegal immigrants. They will also inform them about the revitalisation of the township economy project, to be rolled out alongside key stakeholders.

The movement said that the government only understands mass rolling action; therefore, they encourage their members to consistently take to the streets peacefully until their demands are met.
“We call upon all South Africans to rise, unite and fight against the invasion, lawlessness and inequality. The enemy is working tirelessly to dislodge the people and declare them persona non grata in their own country,” March and March said.
“It will either be our blood or victory.”
Additionally, March and March expressed appreciation to the public for the successful and peaceful June 30 marches against irregular migration, which involved over 120 marches across the country organised by numerous civic and political groups.
