The Public Protector has vindicated former Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter in a high-profile investigation into allegations of nepotism and procurement irregularities. The investigation focused on the controversial R200 000 monthly appointment of Werner Mouton and found that all proper procedures were followed, despite claims of impropriety by former chief procurement officer Solly Tshitangano.
