Lizzo, the Grammy Award-winning singer and body positivity advocate, has taken to social media to showcase her impressive weight loss journey.
The "Truth Hurts" singer shared a video on Instagram, captioning it with the playful question, “is it fall yet?”
In September, there was rumours, with some accusing her of using Ozempic, a popular diabetes drug used for weight loss.
Lizzo addressed these allegations directly, responding to a comment that suggested her weight loss could be attributed to drugs or more illicit means.
One follower commented, “Did she use Ozempic or did she snort coke?” Her response to the comment was simple but powerful, “whyyyy do u follow me?”
The 36-year-old star has been open about her fitness journey, regularly sharing videos of her workouts and transformation on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
In a post from mid-September, she showcased her progress in a compelling ‘before and after’ with a caption of “Fine both ways”.
In the first clip, Lizzo confidently wore a set of black underwear, while the second displayed her in a sleek grey bodysuit, from “Yitty” shapewear by Lizzo.
The video featured an empowering sound bite from Nicki Minaj, stating, “the fact that you’d discuss my looks, it’s insane.”
Throughout her journey, Lizzo has remained committed to promoting body positivity.
“I accept my body as it is today & I accept my body will change. I love my body through all its stages because acceptance is a form of self-love,” she expressed in an Instagram post, encouraging her followers to embrace their own bodies.
Her weight loss journey has sparked mixed reactions from fans and social media users.
X user @stillgray commented, “Unpopular opinion: Lizzo is actually very pretty and she looks great after shedding a hundred pounds. She will look even better as she keeps up her fitness regimen.”

While some praised her transformation, others questioned societal expectations around body image.
@OliviaHoney11, “Lizzo has always been pretty. It's just the society we live in that shames bigger women like her. I think Lizzo is trying to 'rebrand.' In all honesty, that's the perfect size for her now.”
