Waterfront Theatre School brings the South African premiere of the Tony Award–nominated musical comedy "Something Rotten!" to the stage, tap-dancing, jazz-filled celebration of theatre itself.
Set in the Renaissance, it follows two struggling playwrights who grow tired of living in Shakespeare’s shadow and decide to invent something entirely new: the musical.
The result is a fast-paced spectacle filled with big laughs, ambition, larger-than-life characters and rhyming humour.
The production both mocks and honours musical theatre in equal measure, packed with high-energy numbers.
