When she is not bringing powerful characters to life on screen, South African actress Zikhona Sodlaka is making the most of her time away from set by exploring some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
The award-winning actress recently took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse of her girls’ trip to Greece, sharing a carousel of sun-soaked moments from the picturesque island of Mykonos.
Among the highlights was a video of Sodlaka unwinding aboard a white yacht, dressed in a flowing kaftan as the sapphire-blue Aegean Sea stretched out behind her.
She also shared a striking photograph of herself in a black swimsuit while enjoying a day at sea.
Captioning the post, she wrote: “Everywhere you stand, be the soul of that place.”
Her Greek adventure also included exploring the charming streets of Mykonos, indulging in leisurely lunches overlooking the ocean and sampling the island’s local cuisine.
Sharing another reflective moment from the trip, Sodlaka quoted the Bible, writing: “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”
The Greek escape is the latest addition to Sodlaka’s growing list of international travels.
A passionate traveller, she recently visited New York and embarked on an Indian Ocean cruise that included a stop in Réunion Island.
Away from her travels, Sodlaka continues to broaden her career beyond acting. The multi-award-winning performer has expanded into producing and content creation, with a strong focus on telling authentic African stories.
Her latest ventures include acting masterclasses, international creative projects and "The For Men Podcast", a platform dedicated to encouraging the rehabilitation, healing and empowerment of men.
The actress has also reached another major career milestone after signing with Rebelle Management, an international talent management company based in New York City.
Announcing the partnership, Sodlaka revealed that exciting opportunities lie ahead.
“Rebelle understood my vision from the first conversation, both as an actor and as a producer. It takes a trained eye with a bold take on success to take on talent such as myself. I’m ready for what comes next, and this is the right team to build it with,” she said.
