Johannesburg - Tamboti Bush Lodge is a birder and bush-lover’s paradise in the middle of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, nestled in a grove of Tamboti trees.
When you walk down the entrance to Tamboti Bush Lodge you already sense that this is no ordinary lodge in the bush; this is a home from home. You’ll soon get to feel the love and attention that owners Derrick and Pixie Cochran have given to their quiet little lodge.
Tamboti Bush Lodge is in the middle of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, the only Big Five game reserve in Gauteng. The area is malaria free and is only one hour’s drive from Joburg.
The N1 highway takes you to just 6km from the game reserve gates, and 10km from Tamboti Bush Lodge.
The six suites at the lodge are stunning; each with their own decor and style. The honeymoon suites are to die for, and there are two log cabins overlooking the dams and a safari tent on a deck in the trees.

All the suites have a TV, and coffee-making facilities for the late-nighter or early bird.
There is undoubtedly the world’s best a la carte restaurant in the area, with a wonderful variety of bushveld cuisine served by the well-trained staff. This is a foodie’s must-try.
Members offer: 10 percent discount on B&B accommodation at Tamboti Bush Lodge until the end of October this year.
