Nigerian-American Afrobeats superstar Davido recently visited Eswatini, where he received a royal welcome from members of the royal family.

During his visit, Davido was given a private tour by His Royal Highness Prince Saziwengaye Dlamini, popularly known as Prince S.G. Dlamini.

The prince shared photographs on Instagram showing himself alongside Davido and his sister, Her Royal Highness Princess Lomabheka Dlamini.

In the caption, Prince S.G. simply wrote: “Davido x Eswatini 🇸🇿👑”.

The royal also shared a photograph of Davido meeting King Mswati III, as well as a video showing the musician touring the newly built International Convention Centre (ICC) in Ezulwini.

According to reports, Davido visited Eswatini in late April 2026 to perform at a lavish multi-day gala event.

The award-winning singer was the headline act at the grand opening of the International Convention Centre, which coincided with the king’s Ruby Jubilee celebrations and his 58th birthday.

During his stay, Davido met with the king at the royal palace and toured a luxury vehicle exhibition hosted at the ICC.

He later delivered a high-energy performance at the five-star hotel and convention centre, marking his first-ever concert in Eswatini.

As one of the king's sons, the prince is a distinguished figure within the Eswatini royal family. He is known for his active social media presence and for hosting high-profile international visitors to the kingdom.

Earlier this year, Eswatini also welcomed popular American YouTuber IShowSpeed as part of his ambitious tour of 20 African countries in 28 days.

The prince and the princess were among the royal family members who greeted the online star upon his arrival.

Throughout his African tour, IShowSpeed livestreamed his experiences from each destination, with Eswatini becoming one of the countries featured on his journey.

Sharing photographs from their meeting, the prince expressed his appreciation for the visit, writing: “Thanks, my bro @ishowspeed. It was great to have you.”
