Tonight you can experience an evening of nostalgia at the '80s & '90s jams concert.

Set to take place at the Saxony Events Centre, located in the basement parking floor of the Westwood Mall, this much-anticipated event promises a night filled with memories as music lovers gather from 5pm.

The entertainment will feature a headline performance from Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels, who are renowned for their unforgettable hits such as Kalimba and If You Wanna Be Happy.

There is an impressive line-up of DJ talent, including DJ Trevor Williams, DJ Ismail Abrahams, DJ Dazzle, along with singers Ashleigh J and the duo from 2Unique.

The event is being hosted by Magical Events, with Llewellyn Brendon Nel as the MC.

Nel said music lovers should prepare themselves for a magical night of rhythm, joy and nostalgia.

"This is an opportunity not to be missed, as fans of all ages will come together to celebrate the essence of an era that shaped modern pop culture, incorporating South Africa’s own vibrant '80s and '90s styles, and genres.

"As contemporary trends continue to evolve in the music industry, many older styles risk being overshadowed. There remains, however, a dedicated audience who cherish the authentic sound and classic hits of the past.

“With the evolution of music, more and more of the older styles and types of music get lost in execution with the newer ideas of music. We decided to throw one massive concert with some of the best old school artists all on one stage, to keep that generation’s music alive.”

* Tickets are available online at Ticket Pro and can also be purchased at the door on the day.
