Brrrrrace for another cold front and snow, warns SA Weather Service
The South African Weather Service has issued warnings for snow, icy temperatures, strong winds and wild waves for parts of the Eastern and Western Cape.
"A cold front associated with an upper air trough is expected to pass through the province, resulting in a significant decease in temperatures and consecutively freezing levels," the forecaster said.
Often considered to be "safer" than smoking traditional cigarettes, vaping has become a popular option. However, there are hidden health risks that many may not be aware of.
“A recent study found that smoking cigarettes decreases the gene expression of 53 genes that play a part in fighting viruses and bacteria. Vaping affects an astonishing 358 of them. What’s scary is that we have no idea what this actually means yet,” the Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa said.

Watch: Fuel price decrease brings welcome relief to SA consumers
Consumers in South Africa will be able to stretch their rands a little further this month after the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) dropped the prices of both grades of petrol by 92 cents per litre, while diesel came down by between 79 cents (500ppm) and R1.05 (50ppm).
This is the lowest level of petrol prices since February 2023.
