With Nelson Mandela Day around the corner, IOL has announced the launch of a new Mandela Day Zine Competition. This is a call to action for all creatives looking to celebrate the legacy of Nelson Mandela.
Whether you're a high school learner or a college student, this is your chance to express what Mandela Day truly means to you.
What’s a “zine” anyway?
Zines are compact, independent publications, typically created using collage, illustration, photography, and text. They serve as powerful tools for personal reflection, activism, and storytelling, making them an ideal medium for a competition that seeks to honour the spirit of Mandela.
Who can take part?
High school learners, University/college students, Young creatives across South Africa.
How to enter the competition:
