The Renault Triber has been given a makeover, ushering in the company’s new corporate look and badge, while remaining the least expensive seven-seater on the South African market.
With a fresh look comes new model grades, with the previous Life, Zen and Intens flavours making way for Evolution, Techno and Iconic variants.
Best of all, the entry price has been dropped by R10,000, with the 1.0 Evolution kicking things off at R218,999, while the midrange Techno is priced at R233,999 and the Iconic listed at R249,999 in manual form and R259,999 as an AMT automated manual.
Renault is also offering an Express panel van model, priced at R249,999.
The facelifted Triber is the first local product to carry the brand’s new Renault Rethink brand transformation strategy.
The front has been completely reworked.

Inside you’ll find a completely redesigned dashboard, featuring a dual-tone finish and an eight-inch floating touchscreen. Renault has also added new upholstery options to the mix.
A new dashboard design, floating touchscreen and revised trims mark out the 2025 cabin.

Power comes from the familiar 1.0-litre normally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 52kW and 96Nm through either a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT gearbox. There is still no word on whether the 1.0 turbo version, originally planned for the pre-facelift model, will ever join the line-up.
The base Evolution model comes with powered windows, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, manual air conditioning with separate ventilation controls for rear passengers, remote central locking and an 8.0-inch (20.3cm) touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a rear view camera.
Safety has been given an upgrade, with the Triber now featuring six airbags across the board, as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Techno version adds black wheel covers, a cooled centre console, mirror-mounted turn signals, LED taillights and roof rails with a carrying capacity of 50kg.
Further to that, the Iconic gains auto headlight activation, cruise control, wireless phone charger, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors and dual-tone flex wheel covers, which mimic alloy wheels.
The Triber boasts three rows of seating, with ‘Easy-Fix’ seats that allow you to configure the vehicle as a 5, 6, or 7-seater, with numerous other configurations available.
In five-seat mode, it has a generous boot capacity of 625 litres. Furthermore, the cabin boasts 23 litres worth of convenient compartments throughout.
The Triber comes with a five-year or 150,000km warranty and a two-year or 30,000km service plan.
