Now media personality Unathi Nkayi has stepped right into the conversation, opening up about her own experience dating a younger man.
Nkayi, who has kept her private life low-key since her divorce from fellow radio personality Thomas “Bad Boy T” Msengana, recently sparked attention after sharing a screenshot of her response to content creator Sadia Khan.
In it, she pushed back against criticism of younger men and confirmed that she is currently dating one, although she kept his identity, age and details firmly off the group chat.
According to her post, this is not your typical stereotype situation.
Nkayi described her partner as thoughtful, generous and surprisingly emotionally aware.
She said he spoils her, refuses to let her spend her own money.
She also added that he is in therapy, something she highlighted while challenging the usual “maturity gap” jokes often aimed at younger men in relationships.
Her message read: “Oh, man. I'm dating younger, and he spoils me rotten and refuses to let me spend a cent, buys me the books he'd like me to read to get to know his world more and goes to therapy, so no mom issues either.”
She later reposted the comment on her Instagram Stories with a caption questioning why younger men are often judged so harshly.
While the internet continues debating the Ben 10 label, Nkayi seems unbothered and fully in her soft-life era, keeping her relationship private while clearly enjoying it on her own terms.
Following reports of her arrest on a DUI charge, the matter remains ongoing, with bail granted and investigations continuing.
