Is your dog stinky? Then here’s a luxurious solution for you.
Italian design house Dolce & Gabbana has launched a dog perfume for the boujee pooches.
The dog perfume was inspired by designer Domenico Dolce's unconditional love for his loyal dog Fefé.
Dolce & Gabbana Fefé marks the brand’s first alcohol-free fragrance mist tailored specifically for dogs.
“It's an olfactory masterpiece featuring the cocooning and warm notes of Ylang-Ylang, the clean and enveloping touch of Musk, and the woody creamy undertones of Sandalwood,” it states on the luxury brand’s website.
The fashion house suggests that you spray the perfume on your hands or on a brush and proceed by rubbing or brushing your dog’s fur from the middle of the body towards the tail “to give them a moment of scented pampering”.
It can also be applied directly to your dog’s body avoiding the nose area.
The fragrance is alcohol-free and the fashion house insists that the product is approved by vets and safe for dogs.
“Through a compliance recognition to this protocol granted by Bureau Veritas Italia, participating companies demonstrate their sensitivity in creating products that ensure the safety and respect of the animal, in accordance with established standards,” Dolce & Gabbana said in a statement announcing the perfume’s launch.
With the purchase of one Dolce & Gabbana Fefé fragrance shoppers will receive an exclusive dog collar with a tag.
The dog mist retails at 99 euros (about R2000) for 100 ml.
The elegant bottle is made of sleek green lacquered glass with a red metal cap and a 24-carat gold-plated paw on the front.
