The Kanye West (aka Ye) and Kim Kardashian saga continues with yet another high-profile squabble.

If you thought things were already messy, buckle up because this latest round of drama takes things to a whole new level.

West, 47 and Kardashian, 44, are reportedly at odds over the rapper’s new track, "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine".

The song allegedly features their 11-year-old daughter, North West, and Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing deeply disturbing allegations related to sex trafficking.

This is not an AI-generated “feature” or a digital deepfake. According to reports, North’s voice is actually on the track, which has sent Kardashian into full-blown protective mother mode.

Kanye, never one to avoid controversy (even when the world is against him), shared screenshots of a heated text exchange with his ex-wife on X (formerly Twitter).

In the messages, Kardashian reminded him that she had legally trademarked North’s name to prevent this kind of situation.

“I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop. I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark!

"We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids' names and trademarks. So no one else would take them,” Kardashian allegedly texted.

Kanye responded by saying: “Amend it or I’m going to war,” he fired back. “And neither of us will recover from the public fallout.”

He added: “You’re going to have to kill me.”

According to "TMZ", Kardashian wasn’t playing around; she reportedly sent legal letters demanding a cease and desist to stop the song from being released. An emergency hearing was even held with a mediator and a judge, though West allegedly didn’t bother to attend. Instead, he simply promised not to release the song.

Kardashian’s concerns aren’t just about creative control. The issue here is who North is associated with.

Combs, credited as Puff Daddy on the track, is currently in the middle of an ongoing criminal sex-trafficking case. The idea that an 11-year-old child is linked to someone accused of such horrific crimes is unsettling.

Kardashian, despite all her reality TV theatrics, is making moves to protect her daughter from being connected to Combs’s legal nightmare or West’s increasingly erratic behaviour.

Because, let’s not forget, Ye has been spiralling for years, aligning himself with controversial figures and stirring up public outrage at every opportunity. Just last month, he even publicly advocated for Combs’s release.

"Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine" begins with what sounds like a recorded phone call between West and Combs.

“I wanna just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man,” Combs, who is currently in jail, allegedly says. “Ain’t nobody reach out to them, ain’t nobody call them.”

West replies, “Absolutely, I love you so much, man. You raised me. Even when I ain’t know you, know what I’m saying?”

Diddy, accused of trafficking and abusing multiple women (including minors), is out here thanking Kanye for looking after his kids? And Kanye, the same man who has gone on countless rants about protecting children from the evils of Hollywood, is standing by him.

Meanwhile, North, at 11 years old, is now unwittingly involved, rapping: “When you see me shining, then you see the light.”

At this point, it’s hard to tell if Kanye genuinely believes what he’s doing is right or if he’s just playing his usual game of public chaos. But what’s clear is that Kardashian is trying to protect North from being dragged into a scandal.
