Demi-Leigh Tebow's new title: mom! Joyful announcement of daughter Daphne's arrival

South African beauty queen, Demi-Leigh Tebow and her husband Tim excitedly introduced a bundle of joy to the world.

The former Miss Universe took to social media on July 8 to share the heartfelt news about the arrival of her baby girl, Daphne Reign Tebow.

Demi shared a heart-warming carousel of pictures from the hospital showing her and her husband, Tim, cradling their newborn.

“🎀7/6/2025🎀Our daughter is here! We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life,” the new mom captioned her post.

The 30-year-old also thanked the hospital staff who assisted her during her labour and delivery and as well as her friend who captured the sweet memories of her family.

She added: “Thank you to everyone who’s been praying with us over her arrival. We are so incredibly thankful for all of the love and support we’ve felt. We can’t wait to share her name with you soon.”

Just a few hours later, Demi shared a dedicated and heart-warming post sharing with the world pictures of her baby girl, her name and the meaning behind them.

“We’ve been so excited to share this with you … Meet our daughter, Daphne Reign Tebow. Daphne is a name that’s been close to my heart since I was a little girl. I never got to meet my mom’s mother, but her sister, Daphne stepped in as a grandma figure to me,” she shared.

The former Miss Universe further added that her grandmother’s sister was very special to her and her mom; when she gets blessed with a daughter, she will name her after grandma, Daphne.

In addition, the name Reign was inspired by a girl whose story profoundly impacted both her and Tim.

She captioned her post: “But more than anything, her name reminds us that when you’re adopted into God’s family, you become a child of the King. You were made to rule and reign - not in power, but in purpose, love and identity.

“So here she is – our daughter. Our answered prayer. Daphne Reign Tebow – created in the image of God. Royalty as His princess. Our biggest prayer over her is to reign in God’s purpose for her life,” she added.

Demi has been excitedly and candidly sharing her pregnancy journey on social media since she announced that she is pregnant in January.

In March, she revealed the gender of her baby in a cute video on social media, as she and Tim painted a canvas with pink paint while blindfolded, which confirmed that they are expecting a baby girl.

Friends, fans and family of the beauty queen flooded the comment section to congratulate her on the new addition to their growing family.

“Congratulations Demi. 💗🥺,” media personality Bonang Matheba wrote.

Former Miss World Rolene Strauss said: “Ahhhhh welcome baby girl! 🤍🤍🤍 You are already so loved! 🥹🤍”

While Demi’s friend, Hannah Janoe added: “I’m crying again! It was a massive honour to capture those moments - love you guys so much!”
