As South Africa counts down to Bafana Bafana's long-awaited return to the Fifa World Cup stage, the Mzansi Youth Choir has added its voice to the growing wave of support.
The internationally recognised choir shared a spirited video of members singing, chanting and dancing as they sent a message of encouragement to the national team ahead of its opening Group A clash against Mexico.
"Our boys! We have put our trust in you. We want you guys to bring it home. Bring it home," the choir said in the clip.
In the caption, they added: "Wishing Bafana Bafana the very best of luck as they kick off their first match in Mexico! Make the nation proud, play with passion and give it your all. South Africa is behind you every step of the way. Go Bafana Bafana!"
The message comes from a group that has become one of South Africa's most celebrated cultural ambassadors.
Founded in Soweto in 2003, the Mzansi Youth Choir began as a youth development project aimed at creating opportunities for talented young people.
Over the years, it has grown into a global success story while continuing to represent South African talent on some of the world's biggest stages.
The choir captured international attention in 2023 when it competed on "America's Got Talent".
Its emotional performance of Nightbirde's song "It's OK" earned the show's first Audience Group Golden Buzzer and helped propel the group all the way to the Season 18 finals.
Now, the choir is turning its attention to football as South Africa prepares for a historic night.
Bafana Bafana face Mexico on Thursday, June 11, at 9pm South African time at the famous Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
The fixture carries extra significance as it revisits the opening match of the 2010 Fifa World Cup, where the two nations famously played out a draw in Johannesburg.
The match also marks South Africa's first World Cup appearance in 16 years, while Estadio Azteca becomes the first stadium in history to host matches across three different Fifa World Cup tournaments.
For the Mzansi Youth Choir and millions of supporters back home, the message is simple: sing loud, dream big and bring it home.
