Football fever is already doing the most ahead of the 2026 Fifa World Cup and not in a subtle way.

Even before the tournament has kicked off, chaos is already in full swing as global fans busily collect Panini stickers, trade duplicates as if they were high-value currency, and hunt for that one missing player card with the intensity of a debt collector.

Meanwhile, Brazilian influencer Carolay Chaves decided the sticker hunt was simply not dramatic enough. Instead of just filling an album like the rest of us, she became the album.

The social media star recently went viral after covering herself in more than 1 000 World Cup stickers, transforming her body into what she proudly called a “living Panini album”.

Because apparently, wearing a nice outfit was too predictable for 2026.

The shoot dropped just as anticipation builds for the tournament set to take place across the United States, Canada and Mexico, and it did not take long for the internet to collectively pause and stare.

Chaves, who has over five million Instagram followers, leaned all the way into football culture meets influencer fashion theatrics.

Her body became a collage of national teams, tournament graphics, and football giants including Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Enzo Fernández. Basically, if your favourite player wasn’t on her, were they even in the World Cup?

While fans are busy debating squads and fixtures, she has managed to turn sticker collecting into full-blown performance art. And in classic influencer fashion, it is equal parts creative, chaotic and impossible to ignore.

The timing, however, is not entirely lighthearted. The Panini album itself has been caught up in controversy in parts of Latin America, with rising prices, gambling-linked criticism and consumer complaints adding a bit of tension to what is usually innocent childhood nostalgia.

Still, Chaves has taken that familiar childhood ritual and stretched it into viral spectacle territory, fully committing in a way only 2026 can explain, with her body doing the most while the rest of us are still trying to find the missing sticker from our 2006 flip file like it’s a cold case.
