Look up, Mavericks is back in the sky! The Mavericks plane was on the ground for nearly a year, but the iconic Cape Town sight has returned, flying high with the Mavericks banner in tow. With a new crew and new plane, the service promises to be better than ever!

The Mavericks plane was so missed during lock-down, that back garden replicas were constructed. Over the past year however, most Capetonians would swear they saw it just last week. Appearing more frequently than the famous Tablecloth, it’s etched into the memories of locals. Luckily, for those who have missed the spectacle, the city’s treasure is back where it belongs. You will find it turning heads, particularly during the Friday rush hour or over the venue at your favourite sports match!

Reassuringly, the plane is now owned by Mavericks Revue Bar. Previously the banner was flown by another company.

The aircraft itself, a 1965 Piper Super Cub (ZS-EEW), is a true classic. A lightweight and powerful aircraft, known for its agility and timeless design. Trailing behind it, the Mavericks banner stretches an impressive 30 metres!

“This time, the Mavericks plane is here to stay. Our new ‘Mavericks Aviation’ division now guarantees that she will keep making waves both in the sky and on the ground,” said Viktoriya Harrison, Marketing Manager, Mavericks.

To celebrate the grand return of this legendary flight, Mavericks will be soaring higher than ever with an unforgettable 'Mile High Experience' on March 28 and 29.

For two nights only, expect electrifying performances on stage and, if requested, in your seats from Mavericks’ sexy new Cabin Crew. You may experience some turbulence—the kind you’ll actually enjoy!
