Clinton Brink's latest post proves there's much more to him than acting.

Talent is something South Africans almost seem to have naturally. Just when you think you know someone for one thing, they casually remind you that they’ve been hiding another talent all along.
That’s exactly what actor Clinton Brink did this week when he took a trip down memory lane and shared a photo and video dump on Instagram showcasing his music journey over the years.
Now, if you've only been watching Brink tear things up as Gavin Salat in Netflix's "Kings of Jo'burg", here's something you may not have known.
Beyond the crime bosses, drama and power moves on screen, Brink has been nurturing another passion for most of his life.
The actor recently reminded fans that music isn't just a side hustle or hidden talent, it's been a major part of his creative journey for as long as he can remember.
In his post, Brink reflected on the role music has played throughout his life.
"To all the people who I meet and comment 'wow hey, I didn’t know you could sing' - Music has been a major part of my creative journey & artistic expression for as long as I can remember. I've sang in choirs & acapella groups throughout all of my school years and into my tertiary education.
Sometimes I feel it is A dimension of my being that I have not yet fully pursued or fully expressed. Music has underscored many of my life experiences in ways that TV, stage & film performances could not capture & have gifted me with a sensitivity that has allowed me to feel & see life not only through the lens of an actor.
I have had the greatest of pleasure to work alongside many local GREATS and some international ones too from #rnb #hiphop #house #soul and #afrikaans music."
That feeling is probably more relatable than many of us would like to admit.
Most people have a passion, dream or talent sitting quietly in the background while life happens. Sometimes it’s singing, sometimes it’s writing, painting or starting that business idea you keep talking about.
Brink’s post is a reminder that people are rarely just one thing. The actor many know from their television screens is also a singer, performer and creative still exploring new parts of himself.
And if there’s one thing South Africans love, it’s discovering that our favourite stars have even more layers than we realised.
