The beauty pageant season is upon us again, and the Miss SA 2025 search has brought together fierce women who are ready to proudly present their country.

The Miss SA organisation announced that entries for the 2025 beauty competition were open on April 2 and closed on Friday, April 11; we have seen multiple videos online of women who aspire to become the next Miss SA.

We have also seen familiar faces among the aspiring contestants who are vying for the Miss SA title.

When entering the pageant, contestants share on social media a video of what their advocacy is and what they stand for because the competition is more than just beauty and glamour.

Former "Big Brother" housemate Nsuku Mabunda, who joined the fifth season of the reality show, shared her entry video, pointing out that she stands against gender-based violence and also for every girl who’s been judged for her skin, her voice and her courage.

Another former "Big Brother" housemate who entered the Miss SA 2025 pageant is Neo Sibiya.

Sibiya was a part of season four and shared that SA deserves a female leader that will raise the country’s flag high with her leadership qualifications in her entry video.

The 23-year-old further added that the country needs someone who will prove that RSA is a DNA on its own.

Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku, another familiar face, also shared her entry video.

Nokwe-Mseleku is known for her role as Mayi on Netflix’s “Umjolo: My Beginning, My End”.

The actress shared that she has a passion to drive social change through arts and culture. She further added that her advocacy is to propose that the sectors of sports, arts and culture as well as other humanities, collaborate to create a new brand of nation building.

Actress and radio host, Mulisa Mudau, is known for her role as Elelwani on SABC2’s “Muvhango” and as Enhle on Showmax’s “Tshepo”.

The 29-year-old said that she aims to empower women and combat colourism that women, particularly dark-skinned women, have and continue to face.
