Media personality Anele Mdoda recently found herself in hot water on X (formerly Twitter), after speaking out on the Chris Brown controversy.
The backlash started when the American singer commented on a post by Women For Change, an organisation that focuses on raising awareness about gender-based violence and domestic abuse.
Mdoda’s comments didn’t sit well with users, who quickly expressed their dissatisfaction over her hypocrisy.
But the drama didn’t stop there. Mdoda has now shifted her attention to South African Minister Gayton McKenzie and netizens are not impressed.
The outspoken star took to X to address McKenzie after he posted about his controversial trip to the 2024 Olympics in France. The trip reportedly cost taxpayers over R800 000, sparking outrage.
McKenzie defended his trip by stating: “I attended six meetings in Paris before the start of the Olympics. I went to the athletic villa to greet our athletes, attended the opening ceremony, and watched the hockey, gymnastics, and sevens game.
“I opened Ekhaya village and watched the rest of the Olympic Games on TV. What joyride?”
Mdoda’s sharp response came quickly: “Dude. Stop answering. You don’t work for Twitter.”
Naturally, her blunt reply didn’t go unnoticed, and social media erupted with reactions.
