US rapper Bow Wow recently shared his feelings on the P Diddy saga that has recently consumed the world of Hollywood.
Diddy was charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking in an indictment that accuses the superstar rapper of engaging in decades of sexual abuse of women.
Diddy is currently in prison awaiting trial.
Speaking on the “More To The Story” podcast, the “Bounce With Me” hitmaker said that Diddy was the gatekeeper of the industry and that the news surrounding him has hugely affected the celebrity party scene.
During the interview with award-winning TV host and actress, Rocsi Diaz, Bow Wow claimed that there was “nowhere to party” after the recently-held BET Hip Hop Awards.
He said: “I never thought I’d see it like this, he’s like the gatekeeper to the game to the point where like the BET weekend, like the past two days just didn’t feel right because there was no motion, there was no parties, there was nowhere to go ...
“The parties that we attend ... I’m taking about him as the artist, as a person right.”
Bow Wow expressed that Diddy was “everything hip hop”.
“It shows how monumental and important he was to the culture ... There was no parties, every year, he had the party, and you feel it, it’s like a hole, it’s like dam ... He was such a gatekeeper, from the liquor in the clubs ...
“He was everything hip hop, so for that do die out, you just wouldn’t have ever thought.
“Especially when you look at somebody you studied, somebody you idolised, somebody you looked at when it comes to hustle, business and how to run your s***, it was like he was the God that every young hustler looked up to and wanted to either be like or pass.
“I wanted to pass this ni***, he just stepped your hustle game up, you know what I mean, so it’s sad and it’s messed up that we’ve got to witness this at this time,” said Bow Wow.
In the rest of the podcast, the two spoke about Bow Wow’s career, being shielded by his mom, team and other family members, and how life has changed now that he has a teenage daughter.
