Springboks captain Siya Kolisi has once again proven that he is not just a sporting hero but also a beacon of hope for the youth.

Recently, Kolisi surprised the children of a school in the Gatjie settlement with a heartfelt video call that filled them with joy, excitement and inspiration.

The kids erupted in screams and cheers, completely awestruck that their hero had taken the time to speak with them.

During the call, Kolisi shared an uplifting message with the children: "I want to wish you a great day, stay strong, and I want you all to believe in yourselves and in everything that you want to be."

Kolisi also gave a special shoutout to a brave little boy named Darren, known as Magyva, who had been facing bullying at school, causing him to miss many days and see his marks drop.

"Magyva, I just want to say hello, and you must tell those kids at school who are bullying you that I am coming. I'm going to come say hello to them, I'm going to deal with them, but stay strong, be yourself and don't be scared of anything. Guys, you'll must protect each other, especially Magyva," said Kolisi.

This touching moment was shared on social media by @triggrGood, who revealed the background to Magyva’s story.

"Siya spoke to the kids and gave a shoutout to a young boy who’s been facing bullying in the community. That night, the boy told his mom he was going to dream about meeting his hero. Even one of the bullies’ moms, who had previously denied it was happening, came forward to apologise afterwards.

"The call left such a deep impact; the kids kept asking why Siya would take time to speak to children from the Gatjie settlement," the post stated.

Following the call, Magyva hardly missed a day of school, and his grades improved significantly.

"I got good marks in my report, and I want to thank Siya Kolisi for stopping the bullying," shared the little boy in a snippet.

Kolisi’s surprise call not only motivated Magyva but also showed all the kids that they matter, no matter where they come from.

"They need to know they matter. That where they come from is nothing to be ashamed of. Thank you, Siya, for showing them they are worthy 🙌🏼," ended the post from @triggrGood.
