American actress and singer, Teyana Taylor recently revealed that she is taking a break from working after doctors found a non-cancerous growth in her vocal cords.

American singer and actress Teyana Taylor recently shared a concerning health update with her fans and revealed that she will be taking a break from work to recover.
On Wednesday, August 8, Taylor revealed on her Instagram stories that doctors found a non-cancerous growth on her vocal cords, which needs to be removed immediately.
“I’ve been quietly dealing with some vocal challenges for a while now. And after a lot of back and forth with my doctors, I’ve been told I need vocal surgery immediately.
“They found a non-cancerous growth on one of my cords that’s been messing with my voice and causing real discomfort,” the “Straw” actress revealed.

She added that even though she is thankful that the growth is treatable and doctors managed to detect it early, it breaks her heart that this means she has to pause on her future appearances or anything work-related, including a scheduled interview with Michelle Obama.
“Because of this, I have to step back from some upcoming appearances, including Mrs Obama’s podcast taping at Martha’s Vineyard this weekend. And that honestly breaks my heart. I don’t take lightly what it means to show up for y’all,” she wrote.
Even though she is taking a break from working to recover, the 34-year-old also shared and assured her fans that she has not moved the date up for her fourth studio album “Escape Room”, which is expected to be released on August 22.
“I’ve poured so much of myself into this next chapter - especially the ‘Escape Room’. Which is still dropping on August 22! So no worries there.
“It’s the most personal body of work I’ve ever created, and the timing, it’s not lost on me. Just as I was getting ready to finally share this with you, life handed me my own unexpected ‘Escape Room’ – one I didn’t ask for,” Taylor added.
The mother of two has been excitedly sharing sneak peeks of the visual album and promoting her upcoming album on her social media pages, which has continuously built anticipation among her fans.
