IN ITS continuous bid to tackle hunger and support community-based feeding programs FoodFoward SA will step-up its commitments on Mandela Day (July 18).
In keeping with Ideals that Mandela stood for and the impact he made, FoodForward SA has extended invites to individuals, corporates, and groups to transform compassion into tangible, life-changing impact at their Annual Food Packing Event on Friday.
Across the major cities of Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town, volunteers will gather, united by a shared mission — to combat food insecurity in the country.

For over a decade, FoodForward SA has made endeavours to recover quality, edible surplus food from the supply chain and redirect it to those who need it most.
This Mandela Day, they encourage participants to contribute their 67 minutes – a brief commitment of time – to make a meaningful difference, by packing essential food parcels alongside fellow changemakers, volunteers can play a pivotal role in filling plates and nourishing lives.
The well-prepared prepared food parcels will be distributed through FoodForward SA's extensive network of 2,750 beneficiary organisations, reaching nearly 1 million people in need.
The organisation has scheduled multiple sessions across three major cities where participants could get involved:
