Tropika is set to invigorate its lineup with the launch of a new limited-edition flavour: Ginger Beer.
Far from its traditional fruity options, the bold introduction is designed to resonate with South African consumers as they embrace the colder months.
The decision to introduce Ginger Beer reflected Tropika's commitment to cultural authenticity, aligning the brand with local taste preferences.
This storied beverage not only serves as a refreshing treat but also embodies a rich history within South Africa.
Renowned for its warmth and unique flavour profile, Ginger Beer evokes cherished memories of home and community gatherings.
In a groundbreaking partnership, Tropika has collaborated with one of the country's most celebrated artists, Dr Esther Mahlangu.
The Ndebele painter, known for her striking geometric designs, lends her artistry to the packaging, transforming each bottle into a vibrant homage to South African heritage and creativity.
Born in 1935 in Mpumalanga, Dr Mahlangu has invested more than 70 years into the world of contemporary art, making her a pivotal cultural ambassador for South Africa.
This collaboration is more than just an aesthetic enhancement, it encapsulates a shared vision between Tropika and Dr Mahlangu: a powerful evolution that is deeply rooted in the stories and communities of South Africa.
Dr Mahlangu’s artistry not only offers a feast for the eyes but also serves as a celebration of individuality and heritage. Her work inspires generations, while Tropika aims to inspire Mzansi to embrace the unexpected and defy the norm through this delicious new offering.
“Partnering with the legendary Dr Esther Mahlangu for our Ginger Beer launch is a true honour and a perfect embodiment of what Tropika stands for,” said Miantha Roux, Head of Beverages at Clover.
“This flavour takes us in a new direction. It’s bold, but still deeply familiar. Dr Mahlangu’s artistry brings a sense of pride, heritage and storytelling that goes far beyond the pack. We hope this new flavour inspires Mzansi to embrace the unexpected, challenge the norm, and proudly celebrate their own individuality, just as Tropika keeps evolving while staying true to its roots and delivering that signature smooth taste we all love.”
Consumers are urged to act quickly, as Tropika Ginger Beer is now available at retailers across the country, featuring the exclusive Dr Esther Mahlangu design.
